MR. TOMMY PHUN is the Founder and CEO of Pyxis, Singapore’s first-of-its-kind electric vessel start-up that is positioned to advance the coastal maritime industry towards a sustainable future. At Pyxis, Tommy leads a team comprised of industry experts that possesses an unparalleled understanding of the maritime sector’s demands and challenges, and has received support from multiple government agencies, including the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore, Enterprise Singapore and their investment arm Seeds Capital.
Alongside Pyxis, Tommy is also a Director of Eng Hup Shipping, a Singaporean family-owned marine services company. Under his leadership, the company has experienced significant growth – winning substantial contracts, diversifying into new sectors, and expanding its fleet to over 70 vessels. He has successfully embarked on a digitalisation and decarbonisation journey to transform the traditional marine business.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, he was appointed as an MPA Maritime Digitalisation Playbook ambassador in 2020 to promote digital transformation within the industry. Tommy graduated as Salutatorian from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Business Management.
