DATO’ SERI DR. VASEEHAR HASSAN is one of a pioneer in South East Asia’s executive and development coaching. He started his merchant banking career in 1981 and ten years later became the Chief Executive Office to Saudi conglomerate, Dallah Al Baraka’s portfolio of businesses in Malaysia. During his 18 years stint at the Dallah Al Baraka Group, he managed an array of business portfolios, including banking, food, healthcare, plantations and real estate.
Dato’ Vaseehar also served as Chairman of RHB Islamic Bank Bhd, Chairman of the Board of Unicorn International Islamic Bank Malaysia Berhad and the Chairman of Utama Merchant Bank Berhad. His wide experience at Board level has placed him in an excellent position to take on his role in executive coaching and leadership development. He also attended the Consulting and Coaching for Change (CCC) in 2001/2002, a programme jointly run by INSEAD and HEC, two of the leading European business schools. Vaseehar graduated with Master’s degrees from both institutions and with an Honours from HEC. Ever since completing his CCC programme in 2002, Vaseehar has been deeply interested in the psychodynamics of leadership and graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Amsterdam Vrije Universiteit in 2013.
